"Hunan Daily" - The only one in Hunan! Hunan Iron and Steel Group has been included in the World 500 Largest Companies list for four consecutive years.

On July 29th, the 2025 Fortune Global 500 list was released. The provincial state-owned enterprise, Hunan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., entered the list for the fourth consecutive year. With a revenue of 33.4 billion US dollars, it ranked 483rd on the list and remained the only listed enterprise from Hunan Province.

In 2024, Hunan Iron and Steel Group achieved an operating revenue of 240 billion yuan, an increase of 1.7%, with a profit of 9 billion yuan. Its profitability remained among the top three in the industry. At the same time, it continuously promoted the adjustment of product varieties through technological innovation, moving up the value chain to the middle and high end. It newly developed 138 products, launched 26 high-precision and high-tech products for the first time, replaced 18 products with imports, and the sales volume of key steel products accounted for 65%. 
This year, the total revenue of the Fortune Global 500 companies reached 41.7 trillion US dollars, exceeding one-third of the global GDP. The entry threshold has increased from 321 billion US dollars to 322 billion US dollars. Walmart has topped the list for the twelfth consecutive year, Amazon remains in second place, and China State Grid Corporation ranks third. 
Among the 130 listed Chinese enterprises, enterprises in the steel industry include China Baowu Group, Hebei Iron & Steel Group, Hangzhou Iron & Steel Group, Jiangsu Shagang Group and Anshan Iron & Steel Group.
